She has born in Mexico and has extensive international experience in promoting the environment through television, films, videos, internet and other communication technologies. Currently Coordinator General of the Education and Training Center for Sustainable Development (CECADESU) of the Ministry of Environment in Mexico (SEMARNAT).

Founding President and Director of the North American Center for Environmental Information and Communication (CICEANA). Founder of Bioplanet@, a network of sustainable communities linked to an E-Commerce. Director and producer of several national and international television programs and series on environmental issues, including a five-part series on the Biosphere 2 project. President of Friends of the Biosphere. Science and Culture Counselor, Embassy of Mexico in India. Assistant to Federico Fellini in Italy.

Participant at The World Summit on Sustainable Development, Johannesburg, South Africa 2002. Participant at the Annual Symposiums of the InfoDev project of the World Bank. Participant and lecturer of regional workshops of Television Trust for the Environment. Participant at "The Global Knowledge Conference - Kuala Lumpur, March 2000". Special Advisor on Sustainable Development for the design and content of the Mexican Pavillion at the Hannover Fair.

Received the UNEP Global 500 Roll of Honor Award (1991) and the President's Award 2000 from the North American Association for Environmental Education.

Member of the Latin American Communication Network for the Environment TVE-UNEP, a member of the Mexican Network of Environmental Educators. Editorial board member of Green Futures (United Kingdom), fellow of the Twenty First Century Trust and advisor to GreenCom (USA).

Studies in Biology, Film Direction and Social Anthropology. Fully fluent in Spanish, English, and German and is conversant in four other languages.
