Regional Dialogue of TERI’s World Sustainable Development Summit 2020
Theme: Water Secure Economies: Perspectives from the Industries 29 August, 2019 | ITC Sonar, Kolkata | 2:45 p.m. onwards
The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in collaboration with The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I), will host the Kolkata Regional Dialogue as a pre-event to TERI’s annual flagship event, the World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS), scheduled to be held from 29-31 January, 2020 in New Delhi, under the broad rubric, ‘Towards 2030 Goals: Making the Decade Count’. The Regional Dialogue will feature as part of the Chamber’s 12th edition of Environment and Energy Conclave.
The discussions will focus on the theme of 'Water Secure Economies: Perspectives from the Industries'. Given that there are an enormous number of challenges presented by water scarcity; the panel will concentrate on the mediation to decrease water use and check pollution in the industrial sector. The panel will discuss water scarcity and pollution which are posing significant risks to an industry by threatening their supply chains, production capacity and operations.
