    Mr Gokul Patnaik

    A high profile
    dynamic bureaucratic turned entrepreneur, he was largely responsible for the Agro
    Revolution in the Punjab during the late 80s. As Managing Director of PSIDC, Markfed
    and Punjab Agro Industries Corporation successively, he established many landmark joint
    ventures involving transnational companies in the agro foods sector. As Chairman of
    Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority, (popularly known as
    APEDA) in the Ministry of Commerce from 199196, he was the chief architect of a
    seven fold growth in Agro Exports from India  Rs 11.24 billion to Rs 79.32 billion.
    Mr Patnaik was the founder Chairman of India International
    Marketing Center (IIMC) at Rotterdam and founder Co-Chairman of the Indo-US-Agro Business
    Alliance. 
    After serving the Punjab Government as Principal Secretary
    for Industry and then Principal Secretary to Irrigation and Power, he took pre-mature
    retirement from the IAS in 1998 to assist the agro industry in the public and private
    sector as a consultant. 
    Mr Gokul Patnaik is currently the President of All India
    Food Processors Association and a member of the National Council of CII. He is also the
    Managing Director of Cebeco India Private Ltd., an organisation exclusively devoted to
    providing consultancy services in agri-business.
