Shri Prakash Javadekar, Hon'ble Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) urged the developed countries to step up their contributions to climate action.
"No place in the world is as vulnerable to climate as India is," said Prof. Jeffery D. Sachs while outlining his energy decarbonisation approach for India at WSDS 2020.

Mr Parameswaran Iyer, Secretary, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, GoI delivering a keynote address at a panel discussion on SDG6.
At WSDS 2020, Shri C.K Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), said there is a need for scientific methods to address climate change rather than traditional approaches.
TERI's report 'Towards a Low Carbon Steel Sector' was released by Sh. Dharmendra Pradhan, Honourable Union Minister of Steel, at the World Sustainable Development Summit 2020, TERI's flagship event
Supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), TERI launched Clean Air Project in India (CAP India) to improve air quality in Lucknow, Kanpur, Pune, and Nashik.
TERI presented measures to significantly curtail air pollution at the national level at a thematic session on “Multi-level Actions to Strengthen NCAP” supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies.
Senior representatives from leading European companies already active in India signed an expression of interest reaffirming their commitment to co-create and implement the EU Excellence in India programme.
