The Act4Earth initiative was launched at the valedictory session of the 21st edition on the World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS). Building on the discussions of WSDS, this initiative seeks to continuously engage with stakeholders through research and dialogue.

The objectives of Act4Earth initiative include:

  • Fast-track meeting of global goals on climate and sustainable development through knowledge-based engagement on policy innovations.
  • Enhance global south perspectives for paradigm shifts needed for achieving sustainable development and climate goals through critical reflections on international mechanisms.

This initiative has two components: COP Compass and SDG Charter. The COP Compass seeks to promote inclusive and equitable transitions through ambitious and informed multilateral measures to enable paradigm shifts for accelerating climate action. The SDG Charter seeks to identify gaps and suggest measures for strengthening and mainstreaming sustainable development in policy agendas for enhanced environmental, social, and economic outcomes.
