The DSDS- Media Colloquium-2015 |

The DSDS-Media Colloquium-2015 is being hosted as part of the landmark 15th edition of the Delhi Sustainable Development Summit (DSDS) 2015, to take place from Feb 5-7 in New Delhi. This year, the theme is 'Sustainable Development Goals and Dealing with Climate Change'. |
|
The DSDS-Media Colloquium-2015 is an opportunity to engage with Heads of States, Nobel Laureates, eminent luminaries and experts from various fields. It will offer best practices, community innovations and leadership ideas to connect with larger audiences. |
|
ELIGIBILITY: Journalists from across the world, with a minimum experience of 5-8 years and below the age of 40.
EXPECTATIONS: Selected journalists will be expected to produce a minimum of three articles/news stories.
Awards will be presented for the Best Three Coverages.
Registration fees for DSDS will be waived for selected participants. |

Journalists from developing countries: |
|
|
» TERI has managed to secure limited support to facilitate the participation of 18 applicants from developing countries |
|
» These will be chosen through a first-come-first served, yet merit-based selection process by the Summit Secretariat. |
|
» Travel reimbursement will be given for the shortest, most direct and
most economical standard, and accommodation will be on a shared basis. |
|
» Selected candidates will be informed by the end of December. |
|

To participate, please submit the following: |

» A statement of purpose (in less than 300 words) |
|
» Two recent news clippings/videos/links on relevant subjects (send a one
paragraph summary in English if it is in another language) |
|
» A letter of assignment from the editor (on the official letterhead)
with an undertaking to publish/broadcast the reports the applicant sends
from the Summit (freelancers should send a letter from the editor of
the publication where they plan to publish these reports). |

» Brief profile or latest CV of applicant |

Till
now, the Summit has hosted 36 Heads of States and Governments,
ministers from over 50 countries and delegates from across continents. Exclusive interactive sessions have been planned with several experts,
including Mr Lars Andreas Lunde, Vice Minister, Ministry of Climate
Change and Environment, Norway, HE Madam Marie-Helene Aubert, Advisor to
the President on Environment and Climate Change Issues, France, and Dr Shamshad Akhtar,
Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of
UN ESCAP.
Special sessions have also been planned with media
experts, including Sir Jonathon Porrit, Founder Director, Forum for the
Future, Mr Lance Ignon, Managing Director, Public Relations, Citizen
Group and Mr John Vidal, Environment Editor, The Guardian. |
