An Evening dedicated to Environmental Innovation Dialogues, Open Mic and Literary Prize
The Green Day, an evening dedicated to Environmental Innovation Dialogues, Open Mic and Literary Prize, was organized by the French Institute in India, and hosted by the French Embassy, as a closing to the World Sustainable Development Summit, organized by TERI, for the 5th to the 8th of October. The Green Day is a platform aiming to bring together the initiatives of civil society, private sector and public policies to create a new path to a greener future together. After the welcome remarks given by H.E. Mr. Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France to India, two dialogues on "Economy of environment" and on "Consciousness of space" were held between Dr Ajay Mathur, Director General, TERI and Ms Miniya Chatterji, CSO, Jindal Steel and Power Group of Companies; and between Mr. Jean Echenoz, multi-awarded French writer and Dr. Vandana Shiva, Founder, Navdanya, respectively. The dialogues were then followed by the awarding of the Fellows Of Nature South Asia Short Story Award to Ms Meghna Pant. Mr Sumant Batra, Founder of Kumaon Literary Festival, also addressed the gathering. The evening was followed by organic snacks from Navdanya.
