In 2015, the world adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) - to end poverty, protect the planet, ensure shared prosperity and foster global peace - which successfully defines ‘what’ needs to be done over the next fifteen years. TERI’s Regional Dialogues are a series of pre-events organized in different parts of India, to explore the next critical step – ‘how’ these goals can be achieved over the next 15 years, and ‘who’ the primary actors need to be. The discussion at the Regional Dialogue will be synthesised and taken forward to the World Sustainable Development Summit at New Delhi.
The SDGs will be driven primarily by evolving partnerships between governments, civil society, and the private sector. With this in mind, the overall theme of the Regional Dialogues are Localising the Post-2015 Development Agenda by.
